In order to allow us to connect to your store we need you to generate a private Shopify app. This lets our platform pull in the necessary data in order to protect your orders.
Start by opening up Shopify Admin and clicking Apps > Manage Private Apps
If you have never created a private app before they might ask you to enable as seen below. Please accept the terms and enable if this is displayed.
Lets start now by clicking Create Private App
Now give it the name "OrderProtection.com" and emergency email "concierge@orderprotection.com"
Now we need to set the permissions. Scroll down and click "Show inactive Admin API permissions". Each category will need to be set to Read or Read and Write. Shown below are all the permissions that need to be set. Look for the "Access scope" to know what to set.
-
read_analytics
-

- read_customers, write_customers
-
read_discounts, write_discounts

Set the "Webhook API version" to 2023-01 (Latest).
Click Save
Click Install App at the top of the page
Scroll down and copy the API Key and Password. Input these into the OrderProtection.com Onboarding link sent to you, or provide them to your account manager.
That's it! If all was done correctly we will now be able to start protecting your orders. Congratulations!
